North Utah County has grown fast. Lehi, Saratoga Springs and Eagle Mountain are full of newer homes with bare garage slabs, while Alpine and Highland have the big custom garages and shops. We coat both, and we spec each floor to how it's actually used.
In Lehi, Saratoga Springs and Eagle Mountain, most garages are a few years old and have never been coated. That makes for a clean install, but young concrete still gets a moisture test and a full diamond grind. Builders' slabs are troweled smooth, and a coating rolled onto that surface without grinding is the classic floor that peels in a year.
Alpine, Highland and Cedar Hills are a different market: large custom garages, RV bays, detached shops and owners who want a showroom finish. Designer flake blends and metallic floors are common here, along with heavier systems for shops and toy barns.
